Brewster/Bridgeport report

Post by ridgeratt » Sat Jul 26, 2014 6:15 pm

Any one got a current report on the sockeye fishing?
I was all set to go last week when the river was on fire, But I just didn't feel right when Brewster was on fire as well.
Not seeing many reports about the fishing and from what I have heard its sort of fallen off.
Thank You

i fished there thurs, fri, and sat. As the days went on the fishing got worse. I suspect that the storm on wed has pushed a lot of fish up the Okanagan river. On sat I fished from 5 am to 730 and never saw 1 fish caught and yes there were plenty of boats out there. I did fish last friday (the day after the fire) and had 2 limits by 9:30 am. Hope this helps.

according to the fish counts still 200k under wells dam so there should still be fish to catch. Was just wondering if it had dropped after the rains mid week. Buddy from work dumped his trip tomorrow after the low count on catch.

River temps are rising so this should have some fish holding near Brewster and the fishing should get good again.

Or I'm hoping!!! [thumbsup]
