About a four hour drive. Have a look at the color of the fish first.sickbayer wrote:maybe we should head down there then?Bodofish wrote:Yep, just down below Chief Joe.sickbayer wrote:Brewster pool? Is that by Rufus?

3-4 pounds and they are starting to color up when they get up that far. They have also been sitting in mid 60 degree water too.Bodofish wrote:

My point exactly. Been there for the King derby, didn't do well but no one did. I'm not sure why anyone have a derby where the fish are totally lock jawed and about a black as a pair of barn boots but....... It was a very sunny week there and had a great time on the lake.Steelheadin360 wrote:3-4 pounds and they are starting to color up when they get up that far. Those sockeye in Brewster are a long way from the spawning grounds yet. They may be a little dark, but you cut into them and they are still a brilliant orange/red, and excellent table fair.

See you up there this weekend...The lake is super high and full of wood with some of the pieces the size of small boats... Caution when motoring out at dark thirty.....Norm wrote:I need my baker lake fix!!
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught....

Hey man, the wood needs to watch out for me haha. I like to watch everyone blast out in the dark and listen to the thumps. I just wait until its light enough, dont feel the need to be fishing in the dark. The fish will still jump into my boat
