Its a huge fight for a parking spot. Helps to carpool and have somebody stand in empty spot. Got to people watch and wait to get a spot. The lot a is patrolled big time by sherriff.

Parking at dash sucks, it's a small and the homeowners around the park have gotten really strict over the years (honestly can't say that i blame them). I've seen a lot of people park up at the church at the top of the hill and walk down. If you want a good spot i'd suggest getting there around 5am (gates don't open til 6 though). Most people are pretty good at getting their lines out of the way when a fish is hooked, and if you get in around a couple good people then you don't have to worry to much about being crowded out after cleaning a fish. Can't wait til i get down there on the 6th, i've managed to work it out two weeks of fishing in some of my favorite spots during the peak times
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

Here is a timely re-print of an article on South Sound Pink Salmon Fishing by Jason Brooks, first published in 2011:

You can ask a fish checker at the launch or dock. The creel reports are from the previous week unless you look on Tuesday for the Sunday before.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

They are there in good numbers been getting my limit daily. Really burnt out from the combat fishing time to go far away for some seclusion. Lol.

Btw even on weekdays you need to be there atleast by 500-530 to get a parking spot. If you don't get one right away in the morning just leave it will be atleast hours before a spot opens. I used to give a lady a salmon to park in her driveway but she sold her house or something.

Hey Tnj, do you have a cast on one of your wrist? I thought I saw someone that looked like you last Sunday morning at Dash Point.

I was the one in the blue hoody with the hood up fishing to the left of you. I could of swore we parked side by side. I didn't want to be weird and say hey are you from walakes.com? I could of swore I saw Toni on the dock there too back in 2011> will do next time man.

Swede was a cool Guy, but it was almost like he would go on a drunken rampage making crazy posts.
