Advice on planning a trip in June
Hi Folks,
I live in Lynnwood and am wanting to plan a fishing trip the first week of June. My brother is coming up to visit from Texas. This is probably the last time we will get a chance to spend some time together. I want to setup something almost guaranteed to get him into some real NW fishing. Where would you take him? I don't know if there are salmon to be caught that time of year or not. A couple years ago, my wife and I booked a guide with a drift boat and we did the Humptulips, but then it was Fall. We had a great time and caught some very large king salmon and a couple chinook. Last time we booked a guided trip and got a float on the Snohomish with two other strangers and we caught one salmon, disappointing. What would your suggestions be?

Are you limited to an area of the state?
Can't go wrong taking him to Chelan on a guide trip for lakers and kokanee.

Yes, we only have a couple days. Lake Chelan sounds like a swell idea. Any guides you would recommend?

We have three guides that are sponsors on our site: Anton Jones, Joe Heinlein, and Jerrod Biggar. They all know the lake and will get you on fish. If you read the lake Chelan reports and visit their web sites you'll get a sense of which you'd like to go with.garyhageman wrote:Yes, we only have a couple days. Please mention you heard about them on our site, they like to know where the referrals come from. :-)

Agree with Mike on Chelan. Most likely good weather that time of year. The kokes should still be going strong.

Thanks a bunch.
I have been talking to Anton by email. Would you go the full day or just half?

you'll catch fish in a half day, but personally I like a full day of fishing if I'm with a guide. Half day just feels incomplete.garyhageman wrote:Thanks a bunch.
