Nooooo! You fish kokes too? If there's anything I learned from your salmon/steel reports, it's that you absolutely slay. I just ask one favor freak...

Leave some for me?
Please?

His boat is called the "kokanee koffin"
Its been rumored that he has single handedly "fished out" lake samish
When he fishes, He doesn't even use gear, just trolls out to the middle of the lake and the fish jump in the boat!

He is... the fish whisperer

I got two today by accident on Lake Washington. One 14 3/4" (pic on fish report) and one that I threw back thinking that all kokes had to be released. The one thrown back was illegal to keep anyways, as it was bigger than the 14 3/4 incher and the regs say 15" + kokes are sockeye. I've never fished for kokanee. These ones were caught about 20ft down in 200ft of water. (always thought you have to fish real deep and slow for them?) Hopefully that'll help somebody out!

The problem with specifically targeting koks on lake Washington would be the slot rule. I hate targeting fragile fish that will possible die in order to catch fish in a narrow size range. Plus, who wants to toss back a 15 1/2" silver bullet? Nice fish in your report!

Fished stevens for a few hours last night. launched about 4pm and fired up thew motor and left the sounder off (whoops) and headed out to the drop off outside the cove where the fish USUALLY stack up, but i did notice one flip inside the cove. So trolled around till dark with one drive by and one small kokanee to the boat. I could not find the fish anywere, didnt see any jumping, water maggots were out ripping around. Water temp was 49*

So i button everything up and scoot back into the cove and the thing is BOILING!! kokanee getting air born everywhere. look at my lowrance and the water temp inside the cove is....... 54.3*!! this is not an april fools joke. with the way the wind blows and the warmer weather the cove must be the first thing to warm up and the kokes are in there just being happy happy happy. so flat lining 2 rods for the 10 minutes of daylight i had left i managed to get one fish to the boat and miss two more. All hits were on a pink hoochie spinner and a pink splatter back dodger with pro-cure kokanee korn magic shoepeg.

Tonight i will have about an hr and a half to fish and im gonna do hot laps around that cove.

My first for 2013. It was 11"
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
