super snagger on the green

Post by goonatic » Sun Oct 21, 2012 9:10 am

ive really never seen a snagger, but was at the green with dicinu yesterday and some stark white girl around 30 with blonde hair had a weighted trble hook set up, and that trble was huge, halibut sized id estimate and she was just rippin it all over, "slaying" them and tangling us, messing up our drifts and just plain spookin the fish with her plunkin and plunderin, she claims she was native and was allowed to do this, idk about that, and i was very skeptical of her "heritage" as was every other angler on the water

i would have called her in and let the game warden sort it out. plus the points are nice for turning in a poacher

I feel your pain...I've been there. That's interesting about getting a reward for turning in a convicted poacher - I did not know that. :-k

LOL I got a nice video of her ripping away in the river. The Warden seen her walk out but didn't stopper her due her not carrying any fish. I let the warden know her boyfriend or what ever was hiding the fish. even offered up the video of this.

but per the warden it is 100% legal for Natives to snag fish on the green...

I was confused when I asked the Snagger if this is how she normally fished. She told me she just wants to bring home some fish as this is the only reason she is using a trebble hook/weighted then began to tell me how she is Native and also has her fishing licenses? ( Which that part confused me) why you would need a free fishing card then pay for a common folk license?

she was back again this morning but hiding out in the shrubs hacking away to rip the line through the water

legal gear dont mean anything if your ripping your pole around like a mad man, ive seen people get popped humpy fishing for ripping their poles off to the side.

i just like the points :)

A weighted treble is not legal even for "natives". I believe they can use two single point hooks but not weighted. I may be wrong however but that is my understanding.
