Not sure when i'm going exactly, yet. But our truck needs some work, so looks like it will be more like the weekend. Sounds good though, as long as you don't have a problem fishing with a kid...I know what i'm doing though.

Yeah, not many rivers around where i live that have fish like that. Though the dungeness has some really big hatchery fish out there. My avarage is 12lbs up to 18. But would be nice to get some big fish early, out at the tahuya. I've only landed one big coho this year so far, and it was a 12lb buck out of the quil.

Is it? I've lost a few bigger than that. But i was happy when i pulled out the 12lb fish. Haha, i know the feeling. I'm really looking forward to fishing the tahuya though. Haven't been to a new river in a year.

Hi folks...

New to WA and Salt & River fishing. But I did spend a day on the Rogue (Oregon) PLUNKING with Spin Glo. Is that a popular way to fish the rivers around here? Also if ya know, I live in Gig Harbor... what river (s) are close to me for Salmon / Trout fishing?

Thanks
Maj. Backlash

hahaha if you think 12lbs is huge on that river try a 19-20lb beast I hooked last year, released it becuase it was snagged though but boy that fish was big, unclipped too.
I like Dewatto fish but most of the big fish genes have been wiped out becuase of the netting, even the small 8lbers had shoulders true natives in those rivers. Any reports on the dewatto skipped going there to go to clear ck in silverdale.
Did you atleast hook any on the tahuyah? What are some good rigs to use out there, PM me if you want.

Yeah, i hope so. I'm planning on hitting the tahuya or dewatto on saturday. It's my grandpa's birthday and i figured a big coho would be a good gift. :)
