SpinnerBait question

Post by Rfatt16 » Thu Oct 25, 2007 2:50 pm

I was wondering if anyone know what i am talking about. I do not know where i heard it but i was told about a spinner bait with a flexible hook. I thought the maker was leverage and or booyah but i can not seem to find them anywhere. Anybody know anything about these??? Any help would be nice

booyah makes a chatterbait like this... let me find a link...

"The Xcalibur™ Tx3™ hook is set in the Leverage™ flexible hook system for outstanding hook-setting performance. "

Leverage did make the hooks but Booyah adopted then on things like boggee baits. Im not positive where to buy the spinnerbaits but if you keep searching online you will find them.

Rfatt , i have a few of those in my "over stock tackle" i'v used them before in the past and i dont like them too much .. the only advantage to me is that the hook is longer due to the extended flex hook , However i missed more fish because of that flexable hook..What i have found that works great for me is the spinnerbaits with the titanium flex arm and your standard hook .. that way after get a on a good fish you dont have to spend 5 minutes or so re adjusting those standard arms and sometime they never run "true" again ... keep in mind that you can always add a trailor hook to any spinnerbait for "insurance" ... thats my take on it .. but you are more than welcome to give those flex hooks a go .. ill give you the couple that i have next time we hook up .. :-({|=

I got your message the other day, sorry I haven't called you back, the wind and family kept me busy last weekend. I'd like to hit it one more time before the door shuts on us for the winter. Gringo and EBM may want to join in and whoever else....kinda "one last whooo ra"...

Hope all is well. I'll give you a call

I've heard of the same thing, when you set the hook on fish, the flexible hook can lose the fish initially.
