So... when I got down there. They didnt have the .300 Win mag in the modle I wanted.

Looked around, and purchased a 30-06.

good choice ... you'll like that load ... it was a NATO load because it did what it was intended to do ... just be careful where ya wack bambi so ya dont have a buncha waste ... as far as bigger game goes it'll work fine ... you can buy loads that are fast 'n flat or 1s that are heavy 'n a lil slower but hit like a mack truck.... with the bullet choices nowa days you can make it do anything you want ... if your not a reloader 'n dont know some crazy that is obcessed with it .... your gunsmith would probably be a good source of info and any special loads ya want ... what did ya stick on top of it ? ..... it surrrre is purty ... well done .... It came with a Bushnell. The day before I was to go hunting, the reticle fell out of place.

Had to goto the store for a new scope and to the range... on the way to go hunt.
