I was out there today and did not have any luck. A guy told me there's a a hole where people fish eggs? I really don't know this river well at all. I free drifted eggs without a bite. The flossers hooked a few, but it wasn't red hot as well. I think was fishing off the purdy corner. I switched later to drift gear and foul hooked one. There seems to be countless snags in this river. I did see the warden chilling in his car. I may give it another shot in am. Fish checker said it was a slow day as well. Thank you to the person out there that put my net by the garbage can and did not take it. I was able to get it back!

the whole entire river you drift eggs except I concentrate more on thedeeper holes and around sticks, the key is to use a short leader.

Just got down curing my eggs and they look good. Even my mom hooked one today with bobber and eggs but lost it do to a snag and I also missed 3 other bites.

Finally went to the Skok for the first time. Fished it friday night, all day saturday and this morning. Only hooked up once. I was using 4-5 feet leaders with black/purple combos of corkies and yarn. Word of the weekend was SLOW. A lot of people walking out with no fish. Met a lot of really nice people which wasnt what I expected. I fell into the river Saturday morning and lost many hours while my waders were wet. The worst part was fishing with people who didnt go with the casting order, long liners and people keeping foul hooked fish. My fishing partner limited out Saturday though.

I fished the river yesterday and today with float and eggs, going 2 for 9 and 2 for 5 on float downs. Limited out, but it took a couple of hours. The fish were finicky as heck early on, not even pulling the float all the way under. On advice from another angler, I colored a 6 foot section of my Hi-Vis braided line with a black sharpie, and shortened my leader to 18inches. After that, the fish seemed more willing to take the bait and pull the float under. The fish were darker than what you'd encounter on the lower river, but at least there was some solitude to be had.

well this weekend in general for me was very good by going 7 for 19 and a whole bunch of bites I just missed. I only kept 4 this weekend and released 3 native jacks. drift fishing eggs. Biggest fish kept was a 13lb hen.

It probably wasn't me, as I wasn't fishing the Farm, but LOL. Wish I had been there to witness the mad dash. :D

Here's one of the darkies from this morning.
