IMHO they are the best bang for your buck spinning reels you can buy. You don't find too many (if any other) 9+1 bearing reels like the President series for under $60 and they can handle anything you'll catch in fresh water except non-keeper sturgeon in their 40 series size.

yeah i have an arbor 7450 and its handles the salt well, used it for pinks, flounder, silvers, dogfish, rockfish and almost an accidental ling lol and anyfish in the lakes lol, and i got three presidents too, 2 35's and a 40, they are amazing, but i kinda dont like the nwer models, just cuz they have the small squares handles, wish they had bigger and wider rubber handles like other reels do =/

I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a salmon eat a crayfish, but it might be close enough to a shrimp type flavor. It's probably not going to make 'em say yuck and swim away from your bait screaming.

i think when its hot and sunny the fish will prolly be closer to the bottom, cuz they like cooler water than other fish species, but on cool/cloudy days idk
