Float fishing eggs for kings
I normally just drift fish eggs for kings but wanted to start float fishing eggs at the skok for the kings and was wondering how do you rig your bobber setup, do you use a inline wt or use bait wt or what?
Also if anyone has ever tried free drifting bait there, what is the rig for that as well.
thanks.

in that small slow river you would wanna do what i do in the samish, hook, leader, swivel, float, one splitshot on the leader about 16 inches from the eggs, thats all u need, if you wanna freedrift, take float off and cast. its real simple

I agree with metal, the skok isnt a joke if you can fish it right. Yeah theres alotta snaggers an crap, but theres alotta fish. Plenty to go around.
BB, id reccomend gettin there early like 6 30 or so. Maybe before. I had a buddy last year he went there almost every morning at sunrise and limited out in 30 minutes on bobber and egg. With alot of 15+

Just wondering, what hole do you fish BB?
I use to fish a few different holes, theres one hole i use to fish that ive never seen anyone else. I have a feeling that its the hole that offdahook is talking about.

I do not fish alone, the log jam hole or s curves not sure what it is called but but when you walk in from the red gate off purdy cutoff, it is the first hole on the left where you can stand on logs to fish from the fields or cross the river and fish from a sandy banks. Nice spot just tons of logs for the fish to run in to.

haha, 8'6 to 9'6, bring that 20' st croix rod and you might get some interesting comments lol. I think the reason why I did not catch any jerry springers on the cow this year is because my eggs suck, bad egg cures or something.

yah I hope, just need to get a long and inexpensive rod, if you cut your price down in half and included the reel then I might think about it.
