Tommorows Opener

Post by DannyLeslie » Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:14 pm

We tried the Skagit by the i5 bridge today and nothing hit. I was gonna see where everyone is going weather it be Reiter or somewhere else. Me my dad and a buddy of ours are wanting to hook some sockeye or steelies.

36 sockeye have already been trapped and transported to baker lake. Last year it wasnt until June 23rd that they started showing. Hopefully this year will be as good as the predicted 35,000+

Sure didn't seem like a 35,000 plus run today. Didn't see one fish jump. Going to a different spot tommorow. Hope the opener produces unlike today.

I talked to a friend who caught three opening day off the bank plunking sand shrimp, he wont give up where though. If the river drops some like it's predicted I may take Dad out in the boat Friday or Saturday for his birthday...
