New products

Post by cavdad45 » Tue Oct 09, 2007 5:00 pm

I know you are getting inundated with new website requests, can you pile this one on the list? A section where we can ask about a specific product, line of products, or the hot bang new lure. With so many people on the site, someone's got to have tried out the new toys.

hey cav i think this thread is great, i am not sure if it is new (but barely anyone knows about them) but as i have preached before the trout magnets are great for small bass bluegill crappie and perch and as the name entails trout love them to. but you have to be on a small stream for them to work for trout

here is a link to their website http://www.troutmagnet.com/

I like that idea, too. We could review products. Like they do on Cabela's and Bass pro shops. Then we would know if it works for our area. I needed a new reel and a guy on the river loved the Penn but when I went to Cabela's and Bass pro shops it had a lower rating because sometimes they came broken. I was looking around and saw a Pflueger President reels. Checked it out at Joe's and then bought one online. (Joe's didn't have that particular one) It caught a steelhead first time out.

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

It was the guys on this site that saved me from making a $200 mistake on a reel we were discussing a few weeks ago. First hand experience, trumps the sales counter guy every time.

what would be really cool is to have like a list of lures and then for each county people could rate the lures from which one they think works the best in each county. so it would be like
1. jig n pig 70% and the percentile could be like how many anglers perfer that lure of choice for the certain lake or county. Just an idea but it sounds good to me.

Excellent idea! Although, I would say that we really wouldn't need to keep it to new products. Sure there are those who have used a ton of products, but it sure would help those of us who are somewhat new to fishing to know what products are good.

Perhaps a forum? Or a group of forums (Plastics forum, Hard lures forum, Sents forum, etc.).

Or maybe another member contributed article?

OK, you've got it. The sub forum will be for product and gear discussion. I don't want to break it down any further as we'll start having way too many sub forums if I do.
