Finally got my mount back!!

Will its been almost 2 years and I waited patiently! He was taken 9-11-10! My first pope&young bull elk! He is a 6x7 scoring 300 1/8 gross and 292 5/8 net with a awesome 44" spread! His not the biggest elk but differently my biggest and I was very bless and happy to take a wonderful animal! Just thought I'd shared some pics! Thanks for lookin! GL hunting, fishing and be safe;)

^^Yes! I shot him at 22 yrds and he went down after 80 yrds! I been archery hunting for over 10 years and this is my first bull elk! Hard work pays off! Thanks;)

I know the feeling....I got my first bull this year too (Took me more than 10 years!). Not archery, but used to bowhunt when I was in high school, so know how intense it is. Hell of a feeling no matter what you're hunting with. :cheers:

^^thats differently a nice bull you took also! Congrats on that! I bow and rifle hunt but nothing beats a bugling bull coming in 20 yrds during archery season! That's pretty crazy how you found the arrow shaft inbeded on the lower thigh! Its was a very poor shot placement from that person! I can't stress enough about telling people to keep practicing! It will come a long ways if you do it! I not sure if you seen this link about a elk that was taken last year but it kind of had the same story of your bull!
