REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
So as some of you know my car was broken into last month and the only thing stolen was the most important thing! Which was my BASS BAG! Well with that being said the plus side of that is this winter I get to shop for NEW GEAR!!!!!! So I pose a question to my fellow bassers. What would be the first stuff you would purchase? Please be specific, sizes, colors etc... I am asking you guys becuase I am still fairly new to WA bass fishing and most of my gear was based on East coast bass. Also I had a ton of crap I never used and I want all of my new supply to get used. I have some ideas and there is someone on this site that will get to help me spend my doe on a couple of trips. You know who you are.LOL So I turn to my more experinced bass compatriots for your knowledge once again!!
THANKS!!!

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
If I had to pick one thing to start over with...
Gary Yamamoto 4" twin tail grub in green pumpkin w/ Owner 1/0 TwistLock hooks. This combo has consistently produced for me. In fact, the more beat up and abused it gets the better it works.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
I would have to go with 2 each Black and Blue 1/2 oz Jigs and 2 each black 1/2 oz Jigs in the box at all times with Blue Uncle Josh pork tails for a trailer. I would also have a package of 6 inch Culprit worms "Fire & Ice" is the color with your choice of worm hook and worm sinker. That is the two things that have produced nice size bass for me when nothing else will. And a Chrome and blue Rattle trap. Good luck to you man and sorry for the bad luck on the break in.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
Prepare for the spring. Depends on where your going to fish. All around stuff, I would start with hooks, weights and plastics. First plastic I would get is the Senko. Look around for jigs and spinnerbaits too.
Check out Bass Pro on line, they've got a lot of tackle for sale.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
The only thing I would add that I don't see already mentioned is a perch pattern crankbait. Personal fav is the jointed perch shad rap.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
If I had to start all over for some reason I would probably buy mostly swimbaits, big cranks and a few large plastics (6"+ senkos, lizards, worms). :cyclops:
oh and how could i forget spinnerbaits (1/2 oz+) and some topwaters!

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
Jason,
That SUCKS!!!! Sorry to hear that man. Talk about bad fishing carma!!!! If you want, I can throw together a "care package" full of Senko's and "stuff"??? I've got a TON laying around (probably a ten year supply). I hate to see a brotha down.
Seriously, we could probably all pitch in a little to help you get back on your "fishing feet".
PM me your address or we can meet up at Beaver some time for the exchange. Post your "shopping list" and I'll see what I have to fill it.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
I've got some trout stuff (spoons, weird wooly tings, etc...) I could pitch in. I don't really use any of it.
RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
Great idea, bassackwards.
EBM - PM me with your address and I can launch a few items up your way on Monday. Sorry, but you'll have to get your own BACON!
Been there myself when my car was stolen in '96. I was more upset over the gear than the old wagon.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
I think any tackle box is incomplete without 10" black power worms. Kinda old school probably, but I've caught lots of big bass in the summer on those. And it eliminates the dinks.

RE:REPLACING THE GOODS!!!
Shhhhh! These guys like finesse worms. I still use Culprit's 10" and 12" in Tequila Sunrise or June Bug. They have their times to shine.hookemdanno wrote:I think any tackle box is incomplete without 10" black power worms.
