RE:Taking A Break!
Amen! Let's go! I've got a couple questions on my mind, but saved them since some of the smartest guys here were taking a break.
RE:Taking A Break!
Aye,aye, Sir! I really needed to take a break so that I could improve the quality of my posts as they were deteriorating and getting away from the purpose of the forum. Had to clear my head and get in a little grouse and quail hunting. Feeling good!fishnislife wrote:Breaks over!!!!!!!!!
Let's get this bass forum back up to speed and start some real posts. I want to learn and help others.
Come on back gang. It's like a breath of fresh air around here with no one stinking the place up.
Back to the business at hand. Bass fishing.

I'm looking forward to hearing from the smart ones, too! Especially with winter bassing coming up.iPodrodder wrote:Amen! Let's go! I've got a couple questions on my mind, but saved them since some of the smartest guys here were taking a break.
RE:Taking A Break!
Glad to hear you are all back. I too have been laying low lately, but it's time to get back to work picking all of your brains for more fishing knowledge, and adding what little I can.

I really was proud of the way Cavdad, Sam and others stepped up and called a "spade" a "spade"...you guys are borderline Detectives. Way to sniff out the fake photo and the bogus "new" member from Vancouver =d>
I'm back and ready to right this ship. I've missed the bass talk the last few weeks. We need to make a pack, that anyone "new" to the forum gets pre-screened for authenticity prior to giving them any "street cred"...
GROUP HUG (Nascar style....no cupping )....okay....that's enough.
HEY???? Where's Beerman1981??? I miss that guy.

It's cattle season, and he's a meat cutter. He said that and some personal conflict is not going to leave him with much time for this site.
Also, remember when Marc Martyn pointed out that huge triploid photo? He also has a mind for details. Marc, if you're reading this, tell me how long it took you to see the pic and identity were fake.

Good to see the regulars back. No need to let one kid drag everyone down!!!

RE:Taking A Break!
Alright guys, let's try to figure out what to do since the weather has shut down alot of the bass fishing. It's too early to start looking through that BPS Christmas catalog. There are too many bass that need sore lips before winter.
Glad to see y'all back.

RE:Taking A Break!
The wishlist feature on BPS is money. I started x-mas shopping for myself last month. My wife calls it "fishin' porn" since I'm fantasizing about all the cool gear I'll never get.

I've been focusing my time on the Cabela's catalog in preparation for an assault on the new store when it opens.
RE:Taking A Break!
I have only one item picked out for sure from their main catalog that I will order after all the gift cards arrive. I got them trained see. They know I love fishing, but they haven't a clue what to get me for fishing. So my wife suggests gift cards from BPS. It's a conspiracy!:-$

I'd plan on a full day or an overnighter...not sure you'll see everything in a just half the day :thumleft:Sam Kafelafish wrote:I'll for sure be taking a half day trip down there for some shopping and funn...Kevin K wrote:I've been focusing my time on the Cabela's catalog in preparation for an assault on the new store when it opens.
I'm getting "geeked" about it, I want to help them build to make sure they make the opening date.

I'm afraid if I spend a full day there I won't have any money left...

RE:Taking A Break!
When we were in Ft. Lauderdale last month, my wife dropped me off at BassPro since she knew I had been chomping at the bit to go there. So while she and her cousin went to do some tourist-chick thing, I had essentially a blank check and about three hours to kill.
I wanted so much stuff that I realized that there was no way I'd get away with getting all of it. So I started putting stuff back and picking and choosing. I was like a girl clothes shopping. When I finally checked out, I had only spent about $70. Back at the resort, I was carefully inventorying my goods and putting them in just the right spot when I told her that BPS had it all. I said if I got everything I wanted to get we'd be eating peanut butter crackers the rest of the trip. In her everlovingly, yet cold reply was, "How much stuff do you need? You never bring anything home, just pictures."
Over the rest of the vacation, I ended up spending only about $300 on gear. That's what happens when you try to rein in your natural instincts. So the moral of the story is....
