Last weekend my friend landed 2 chums on the sky below lewis st brigde and 2 weeks ago i realesed a 17lb chum onder lewis st brigde drifting green corky and yarn!
There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.

What oneshot said. A couple of years ago, I waded down from Metzler on T-day. About mid-day everyone left and I had the river to myself. Caught more chum that day than I could count. I caught one that was pushing 25 lbs. Best day ever for chum for me.

Simply not true. This place is not productive for chums. [flapper]

just kidding. this place rocks. My only regret is I won't be in town on Thanksgiving to catch them. Metzler is one of my favorite spots.

Where exactly is Metzler park? I'm a little familiar with the green in that area, but not exactly sure where that area is.

On another note, I did see a guy land 2 chums today around the golf course

Park name and river and area of river were given here. (Metzler/GreenRiver/GreenRiverValley) You should be able to do about a minutes worth of research on google or bing now and find it ;) want us to hold your pole for you too? [flapper] [thumbup]

some of the fun of fishing to me is always research..

I hear its a small parking lot off the road and you walk in towards the river. Thats what Ive been told anyways. Its not marked on Google maps, but other online resources give you the exact address of this park.

Chum are in high numbers this season. I heard from a buddy of mine that they are numbers wise as strong as the pinks were this year.

http://www.kingcounty.gov/environment/a ... ewing.aspx

"Green/Duwamish River - Chinook salmon spawn throughout the Green River mainstem from Auburn to Kanaskat. Good viewing locations for wild spawning include Metzler Park (18737 Green Valley Rd SE), about five miles east of Auburn, and Flaming Geyser State Park, also on Green Valley Road east of Auburn."

Gee, thanks for the help. I also enjoy the research, but having driven that part of the river many times and not noticing it I figured a quick little description wouldn't hurt.

Mike, thank you very much for the help, much appreciated!

no problem. I fished that hole a million years ago. Nice spot if I'm remembering right. I should wander over there again sometime.
