I have a question for th P-line cxx users. Since it comes in several colors, how do you choose which one use? The water I usually fish in is cloudy and blueish (Tapps), So I usually use a clear line. In th past I'd always get moss green for smaller lakes that tend to have stained water.

I could you a lesson in line types myself. I tend to get whatever I see the pros using, which could range from $10 to $50 line. I'm kinda stupid when it comes down to line. My moto is....line is line, it all breaks and it all catches fish, however, I tend to stay with the lighter line for smallie (spinning) and the heavier stuff for my baitcasting gear due to the amount of times I'm having to crank on my line to clear the lillies or heavy cover.

Any help you guys could give me would be MUCH appreciated.

Unless I'm fishing in really clear waters, I just always use the PLine CXXX in Moss Green. Even in the salt I use 15 or 20 lb test for salmon on my levelwinds and I'll use that green color there too, or Maxima UG...Either one works great. The green color seems to disappear best in most water colors I fish...

i've NEVER had any problems with McCoy line. i only use 6lb for smallies and 8lb for largies and i've never had it break. i've had to many problems with other lines (weak, twisty, etc.) that i'll never use another line again.

case closed :cheese:

Where would one get McCoy line? I keep hearing great things about it and wouldn't mind trying something new...

I've seen it at Outdoor Emporium awhile ago. I imagine that they still carry it.

As for fishing for smallies, my primo line of choice is none other than Seaguar Invizx Fluorocarbon. This line for finesse applications is a tough cookie to beat. You can ask the many bass that got fooled with it. Using the line started to make me think I was a good angler. Ha!

As a matter of fact they do... as well as nearly every other brand I've ever/never heard of except Shakespeare's Cajun line. Make sure and check out their other deals while your there. Its not as nice as Joe's, but it shows in their prices. Its on 4th Ave S. just south of SafeCo Field (Next to Filson).

After two days on the water with my Power Pro braid- I'm sold. It has awesome feel and casts comparably to my old mono.
