i would definitely stick with a bucktail. Fish around structure and points and reel it fast. Black is a good color to start with. Mike.

troll deeper water on the west side using a BIG crankbait. Fish slower than normal. You want the bait down in the 15 to 20' range. If nothing switch to a larger, heavy spinnerbait and try again. If nothing fish structure and any cabbage you can find with a bucktail or spinnerbait. I know you are probably on the water now, but if you go out Sun. you can use this if you are out wed. Look for me and ill help u out. FEAR NO FISH!

Travis, fishing for tiger muskies is a challenging sport. To consistently catch these fish, you will have to learn how to search for and locate them, learn what types of lures are used and which lures to use in various situations, learn the topography and structure of the lakes you fish, and put in a lot of hard work and time on the water. But the thrill of hooking up and playing this big predator is unbeatable, and more than makes up for fishless days, of which you will experience plenty. There are various sources of useful information available, including books and tapes, web sites like this one, muskie fishing clubs, and other anglers. As in all things, there is no substitute for experience. As you put more time into the sport of muskie fishing, you will get better at it. Please release all tiger muskies, so we can enjoy them again! Good luck to you.

Travis, Don brought up a good point. It took me three years of constant fishing on Silver before I was consistant and catching the size and number of fish I was looking for. It is hard for me to give advise about these fish, because I did work hard at it. I did not have the privalage of having a mentor for the lake, its not that im opposed to giving advise its just I want to give advise from people I've fished with and know they are serious about it. The advise I gave you earlier is more advise than I've goven before. Hope to see you on the lake sometime.

FEAR NO FISH!
