Yea, this one was a little darker than I usually keep, but I haven't been able to fish kings so I kept him. I caught some other brownies that were looking more like those samish kings that I threw back. I keep missing the peak of the runs at my favorite spots because I just can't drive that far anymore. meh, I'm getting blood red chrome coho meat out of the Snoho lately. I'll bring my camera next time, promise.

ew i hope pinks dont want #4 vibrax. Lol i only fished south fork last year late when the fish were all dark near the hatchery. I havent fished the early chromers. Any suggestions, im thinking at least half mile down from hatchery (escape crowds) and using 3-5 size vibrax in red, chartreuse or all gold?

Even this early there are a lot of darkies down there, and you have to pick through nates left and right. The catch/keep percentage seems fairly poor down there. I would say a vibrax is a good bet, or a DN but the pinks love those dang things. Also, a plug casted with a Siwash hook on a bead chain has worked very well for me in the past in areas where selective gear restrictions are in effect.

I anticipate hearing how the fishing was today for you guys FF, I am leaning towards going back up the Snoho/Sky tomorrow, but if its lights out up there maybe I will change my mind.

Just can't justify spending exorbitant amounts of $$ owning a sled and not taking it out on the regular, lol.

Sorry i didnt get on the site for a report sooner Matt, did you end up going? Saturday morning early was really good lots of fish in the system but its REALLY REALLY low and clear right now and after the schools saw gear for about an hour or so in the morning they stopped biting all together throughout the river. Landed about 10 and had many followers by 8am, then they just wouldnt bite, with 15 people throwing hardware at them. A bunch of stupid snaggers moved in about 12 and ruined the holes so i left. the next morning, theere was a fraction of the # of fish that were there saturday, the group of snaggers must have spooked em out of the low water. Its not gonna get good until it rains, then the bite will last all day in some murkier water. Lots of chromers tho, like way over 50% chrome right now.

oh and guess what? My first fish early in the morning was a downer summer run steelhead on a vibrax!! its was pretty cool, i have the picture but i was holding it out of the water a tiny bit like 6 inches so i cant post it.

Nice looking trout kzoo:clown: Just kidding of course. They are bright coho if not big. Good to see you getting a few of them! Haven't been many reports of limits on the Green/Duwi for coho (maybe only one from losaturn??) .
