Clarkhess, looks like the change in weather also changed your luck. These cloudy days will trigger the bigger fish into biting! Good Bass!

Got a decent Largie this morning on Sammamish. :-" A 5-7 [biggrin] on a Senko from some semi-isolated pads. She wrapped around the pads a couple times and I had to go in and untie her. The next cast hooked 4 to 4 1/2 lber. After a few seconds the hook broke at the bend. [blink]

Nice largie, AMX!

The hook broke at the bend? Was that hook older than me? Be honest. I'd be happy to mail you some new Gamakatsus. I have some extras. Just PM me your address.

They are about 20 years old, been in the box all along. These are the first that have broken. [read my fishing report] Am going to get more Wed. while I'm in Auburn. :)

So I tied on a different brand hook that is about 15 years old. :-k But no bites after that. Haven't broken one of those----yet.

But the thing is, one of those same hooks I straightened out pretty good when I pulled it out from under a dock. I even said to myself, "That isn't any 'blank' pound test line!". Bent that hook back and caught more fish with it until I finaly lost it under another dock. That was this year after I started using florocarbon line on the senko rod/reel that I started using mid summer. So it isn't every hook, but with only a couple hooks left, I'll just throw them away and buy new ones.
