what kind of fishing pole do you have?
RE:what kind of fishing pole do you have?
Hahahah, wow. I've got so many different rods it's ridiculous.
My favorites -
GLoomis 9' 6-10 gl3 ~sweeeeeeeet~
Lamiglas XMG 50 9'6" 8-15
sage 5 wt fly rod
2 okuma celilo rods
1 sst okuma float drifting rod
about five or so okuma jetty sturgeon rods
4 ugly stick lites
a pfleuger pink rod and reel for the wife (pretty sweet rod)
a pink trout pole with a lighty up reel (for the wife)
fenwick 7' ultra light trout rod - I love this one
1 all steel sturgeon rod (was my granddads sturgeon rod, it's pretty sweet)
and about ten other rods that I've collected over the years, from pawn shops or people leaving their gear in my rig and never coming back to get it. Hahahah! I have three rod racks and they're all full. Not to mention the dedicated rods that live in both rigs, because you're never gonna know when you want to go fishing.

Berkley cherry woods would be neat. and okuma make alot of good cheap reels anywhere from 15$.

RE:what kind of fishing pole do you have?
I've only been serious about fishing for about 2 years, so I haven't amassed a huge collection yet, but I find I'm trending towards lighter and longer rods lately.
1 Shimano Solara 6'6" for loaning and bushwacking
3 Okuma SST - I really love the Kokanee rods in this series and have one for spinning, and one for casting...the other is a Steelhead rod
1 Okuma Celilo 9'6" for spinners
1 Lamiglass Team Kokanee - awesome awesome rod. Pulled in a 34" Dolly Varden with this this year!
1 Lamiglass Kenai Special - given to me as a gift...not used yet
2 Fenwick fly rods - recently given to me, but I've never fly-fished
I'm happy that my list is small enough that I don't mind typing it. I'm guessing it's those guys that aren't typing their lists that really have a serious collection...

Probably in the 30 rod range. Ice fishing to halibut, noodles to broomsticks, back packing and a couple fly rods, downrigger(trout and salmon) rods.
My favorite is all purpose Fenwick HMX S90L-2S 9' 2-8lb line. I catch sunnies to salmon on it. It's as comfortable reeling in pan fish as it is silvers or pinks. What it lacks in backbone for hookset strength and fish control it makes up for in just pure action fun! It's length coupled with 8lb line on a TICA Libra SA3000 reel flings a lure or bait a country mile when desired.
