Short read about jigs.

Thanks, I'll have to take a look again next time need some. I bought enough for 100 jigs and/or spinners. Since I am just learning the jig...I figured buying jig heads and skirts in bulk should keep me entertained for a while. The rate I have been loosing them...$1.20 a piece is a far cry better than the $3.50 I bought my first one's for.

Unlike a wedgefoot or a roundball that will lay on its side at times, a football will land right side up.
Its a great jig for plastic craws and grubs.
The first ones that I used were poured on a hook with a 45 degree bend.
This puts the eye of the hook in the middle and on top of the lead, think of it as a leaver.
I will cast it out and let it settle, if I don't get hit, I will just lift the rod tip a bit. This will pull on the eye of the hook and roll the jig up on its nose, this will raise the back of the bait. On those days that they are tight lipped, this is a deadly presentation.
A few years back they started pouring them on hooks with a 90 degree bend.
This puts the eye of the hook closer to the front of the lead.
I like the 45s better for the presentation described above.
If you are going to fish the football heads in the Rocks, you better have extras.

That's all part of the bass fishing addiction. I love to try new things and experiment. About two years ago, I developed a worm fishing rig that I call the Oregon-Rig. It's a mix of Carolina-Rigging, Texas-Rigging, and trout rigs. It's simple, but the funny thing is that it works for me and I have confidence in it. When my computer literacy improves I'll post a drawing about it and explain it.

But that is one of the fun aspects of bassin'. Trying new stuff and playing with the old stuff.

Is the Inchi Wacky the same thing as Flick Shakin'? Or are there subtle differences?

Interesting head design!! At first glance I thought this was a ball head design for shaky heading, but after checking the description it appears to be more of an M&M shape with a bite taken out of it (sorry bout the goofy analogy, best I could come up with). Says it has a wobbling action, don't know if this is supposed to be swam like a jig, one problem is the extremely light weight would not be very effective in deeper smallie waters. Or if it was designed for more of a river application, but there too I would think the weight would be an issue.

This thing will probably be incredible for flipping docks during spawn/early post spawn for smallies on docks. That light weight with the wobbling action on the fall will drive smallies nuts. Will definitely try these then.

Anybody found any reviews on this thing yet?
