I plan on fishing there tomorrow/Mon. so I'll drive thru and count the spaces for trailers at the city launch. Then see if there are any on-street spots where I've seen people park before. I don't know about the street parking along the park off KentKangley Road, but I'll look there also. There is NO trailer parking in the parking lot for the park/swim/picnic areas, there is a sign that states that.

Maybe I'll drive out there today just to see where everyone is parking, the weather today is good and there should be lots of water skiers.

I'm in, + one other adult! Just got my work schedule adjusted.

There is limited parking on both sides of the lake, at the park area and at the boat launch. Parking enforcement patrols the no parking area on the side of the road next to the boat ramp. Its not too far of a walk, a mile or a bit less, but there is an elementary school just up the road, between 132nd and 148th which has been used as parking overflow.

Well I THOUGHT the weather today was going to be good, it was this morning. Raining now so won't be many, if any, skiers on the lake. I'll look tomorrow.

Post by Mike Carey » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:29 pm

Here's the latest Updated List:

OK, what a generous offer from tnj8222!

The 2011 WashingtonLakes.com Picnic is officially a GO!

When: July 30th (Saturday)

Where: Lake Meridian park.

What: Our annual picnic and fishing fun-fest! Fun Fish in the morning (no derby) and lunch at 11:30am. We'll have lot's of free WL.com items plus free raffles for lot's of nice sponsor gifts.

As in previous years, this is a POTLUCK. Jersey Mikes will provide the sub sandwiches. Members please bring either chips, side dishes (like salads, pasta, beans, etc), and deserts. WL.com will bring plates, plastic wear, and glasses, as well as beverages for all. If we can have a few coolers full of ice that is always helpful. Bring your own chairs, tables, blankets. It's a nice green park but I'm not sure how many picnic tables there are.

Lake Meridian is 2 miles east of Kent. It has bass, perch, bullhead, and trout. There is a nice fishing pier for the shore anglers and a WDFW boat launch, and a city launch.

I know the pinks are going to be running end of July into August, but I hope members will take advantage of the generosity of Jersey Mike's and join in the FUN and FISHING FELLOWSHIP!

Please starts posting your RSVPs so we can get an idea on the number that will attend.

Went past the launch parking at Meridian city launch. 11 spots inside the gates that open at 6am. All the places, outside the gates/parking lot, that people park in/at have signs that say "no parking" so I don't know.

So maybe a list of those planning on taking a boat trailer, and a list of those that carry their boat in the back of a pickup/car top wherever.

thanks Amx. OK, so come early to grab those 11 trailer spots or plan on separating your trailer and parking side by side. I would recommend bringing a lock for your trailer if that's what you end up doing.

Skinny dip? :-" :bom:
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I would consider calling Kent PD and discussing what were upto and ask if there is any kind of special permission we could obtain for parking. There is a sub station around the corner from the launch that holds a couple dozen rigs. (rite out of the launch) Ive used it before. Ive been there on a busy day and seen people parked all over the place, I doubt it will be a problem.

Im hoping to make this but schedule is going to be tough. I would be 3 with the fam. I update next week. Would be awesome to meet you guys :bounce:
