Got any goals for the upcoming salmon season?

Post by Fish_Bait111397 » Wed Jun 22, 2011 9:39 pm

Any goals for the upcoming salmon season?
I got a few...
Catch A Limit Of Kings (I'll be at the skoke, so no pinks!)
Catch Over 25 Pinks (in one day)
Catch My First Silver
Catch a silver of atlast 15 or more pounds.
Fill up atleast 2 catch cards. (shouldnt be to hard with all the pinks)
And lastly, get a king thats pushing 25+ pounds.

I might be 13, alotta people on the rivers i hear say kids cant catch salmon, that we should go back to catchin bluegill, but I think (for a 13 year old, not trying to sound cocky lol) I have alot of expierence for salmon fishing, and I should be able to do most of this. :-({|=
Can only hope for the best !

Goals for 2011 salmon season:

Goal 1: Don't sink the boat.

Goal 2: Don't launch any of my partners overboard (again).

Thanks for starting the thread. My goals:

1. Fish with friends.
2. Help son-in-law catch a steelhead on Skykomish (he's fly fisher from OR).
3. Get other son-in-law even more excited about fishing (he grew up in Greenwich Village and has fished only once with me last year)
4. Try fishing in Puget Sound.
5. Catch some silvers.
6. Get the smoker dialed in.

Well FB Ill be on the skok again myself if it opens up for the kings. Ive still not seen anything other then TBD. Hopefully soon.

1. Fill the freezer.

2. Keeper king over 30lbs.

3. Keeper silver over 18lbs.

4. Still looking for that 2 limit over night steel trip. Ive got 3 steel, but never four. Hopefully this is the year. I came close a few times in recent years.

These would all be personal bests for me. And then filling the freezer is just good for the winter early spring always. Good luck to everyone out there.

Just wait till the pinks come in, then you wont get skunked. [flapper]
Lol, it would be hard to wait that long to go fishing.

Pooh - I fit 1/2 a cow in that freezer before (think it was like 170# of meat) and still had some room left over. Better get catchin!:bball:

Mine:
Catch a steelhead on a spoon and/or spinner
Catch a keeper king in the river
Top any of my PBs
Hook my aunt into a Steelhead or Silver for her 75th birthday.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
