My Best Day Of Fly Fishing...(So Far)

Post by Fish_Bait111397 » Sat Jun 04, 2011 3:51 am

My cousin & I walked to a little creek today to see if we could catch any trout.
We only had 2 hours. He was usin a spincast rod and I brought along my fly rod and some wooly buggers.
First cast I caught an 8 inch brook trout !
In 2 hours of fishing, I caught a total of 21 trout ALL on my fly rod.
Sizes ranged from 8-16 inches.
All brook trout, but 1 was a rainbow.
My cousin caught 12 in the time being.
A bonus was that 3 of the trout I caught, jumped out of the water to hit the flies !

~My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

That's great. A fly rod has such a different feel. Wait until you hook into something big. Now you're hooked!:bom:

That's great. Now you should try in on the St. Joe River in northern Idaho, after some Native Westslope Cutthroat.

Son, your in trouble now. That is how it all starts, and there is no treatment for the sickness.

Better get a great job to pay for all of the rods, lines, flies, and trips this sickness requires.

PS, there is no cure, and my wife will confirm she has been trying to cure me for years.:-" :-$
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
