Rod and Reel Warranty experience

Post by kzoo » Sun Apr 24, 2011 5:55 am

Could we put a sticky on this under Products and Gear. I think anyone looking to buy a new rod and reel should know warranty reputations based on other members personal experiences.

In my experience Bass Pro Shops has been great. They're an authorized repair facility for a lot of major brands, not to mention their excellent house brand rods and reels. If something happens to your rod or reel within a year of purchasing it, they'll fix it no questions asked.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I stopped ordering from bassproshops. Got a reel from them with no spool tightener, just wanted them to send the spool tensioner or a new reel. No dice, I gave up after three phone calls and only buy local
