Personally, I'd like to know which ones. Most of those groups depend on donations, and I for one would like to make sure that I damn well don't donate to them.Stacie Kelsey wrote:There are groups that block our ability to do this. I don't know the specifics on the court involvement............Bob Johansen wrote: The Sea Lions are eating hundreds of sturgeon at the base of the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia. Some of the lions stay there year around. The WDFW has permission to kill 85 animals:scratch: per year. Why are they not doing it.

There are several groups. If you Google 'groups block killing of sea lions Columbia Gorge' you'll get all sorts of eye opening articles about this subject.

Stacey ? Can it be my turn now? If I go for springers next week. Can I buy an Oregon License and fish the That side of the water then drive back home to Seattle with my 2 fish?I wont fish the Wa side.Or better yet can I fish for 2 days and bring home 3 fish without some gamie hitting me up with a citation? That would be 1 day in Or and 1 day in Wa.?

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

The regulation addresses this question specifically.racfish wrote:Stacey ? Can it be my turn now? andCOLUMBIA RIVER – where the river coincides with the boundary between Washington and Oregon, the license of either state is valid. Anglers
must comply with the laws of the state in which they are fishing. An angler licensed only in Oregon may not fish on the Washington shore or in
Washington sloughs or tributaries, except Camas Slough, where the license of either state is valid from a floating device. An angler fishing the Columbia
River is restricted to one daily limit even if licensed by both states. Anglers may fish with either a saltwater, freshwater, or combination license in the
waters of the Columbia River between a line from Rocky Point, on the Washington shore, to Tongue Point, on the Oregon shore, and the Buoy 10 line
described on the next page. For STURGEON rules in the Columbia River tributaries, see rules for adjoining mainstem waters. For bottomfish and forage
fish rules, Marine Area 1 General Rules apply. Closed to fishing for eulachon unless authorized by emergency rule. Check in December for details.
Possession limit - 2 daily limits in fresh form. An additional 40 pounds of SALMON may be
possessed in frozen or processed form. ATLANTIC SALMON may be retained during any open
TROUT or SALMON fi shery. There is no size limit or daily limit for ATLANTIC SALMON.

I did as you suggested, and my results found the following:Stacie Kelsey wrote:There are several groups. If you Google 'groups block killing of sea lions Columbia Gorge' you'll get all sorts of eye opening articles about this subject.
Uber liberal media
Humane Society of the United States
9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals (aka 9th circus court of appeals)
I found as many pro kill writers as I did the anti kill writers, so that does not bother me.
The 9th circus court of appeals needs to be split up or removed, but many have known that for a long time.
The most important is the Humane Society. They want you to believe they are there for the protection of the poor cats and dogs, and for animal shelters, but only a very very small amount of YOUR donations ever get to those causes. The Humane Society is an Anti Hunting group that takes money by misleading people.
Have any of us ever donated to the Humane Society? If so, then we are part of the problem.
I vow, they will not get one cent of my money - not now, not ever.

That whole sea lion thing is bizarre to me. We are trying to protect the resource and because sea lions are cuter than salmon/sturgeon... well you know the rest.
Rac - looks like Bionic answered your question - let me know if you have further.
I talked to the bio regarding Sprague lake and he's working on the answers, he's just been swamped right now.

Wow I`m amazed that the Humane Society is involved with this. Not suprised at all. Never done any research on them or donated money to them. The wife has recently been talking about small donations here and there due to being a pet lover. I can`t wait to show her this thread. I honestly had no idea of there involvment with anything other then cats and dogs.

That is exactly what they want, for us to not know what they are involved in.rjn cajun wrote:Wow I`m amazed that the Humane Society is involved with this. Not suprised at all. Stacie, do you have a web site link for the sub-catchable plant information?
Thanks as always.

Not yet. I'll send out another request.

Hello Stacie, your extra efforts are appreciated. Could you please review the attached fishing report and comments? Then give your reading on the legal distinction between “Game Fish” and “Food Fish” and whether the emergency rule change in effect for the Snohomish system applies to white sturgeon.
