RE:Swimbaits
you can reel them pretty slow and the tail still kicks, it's a good looking bait.bpm2000 wrote:do u have to swim that bait fast to get the tail kicking or can u slow roll it?
RE:Swimbaits
Yup and you want to reel it as slow as possible. The nice thing about them is if you do reel them in fast they dont tip over, they stay upright all the time.
RE:Swimbaits
Daniel, are you fishing the Castaic SBT series ??

RE:Swimbaits
Good luck finding them. I ordered some (4" SBT baby bass and trout) 2 weeks ago from Tacklewarehouse.com and they are on backorder tell Oct. I have to re-up because I got my last one hung up and lost it. When it comes to swimbaits you have to know that your going to loose them. If your not loosing tackle then your either not fishing or your fishing in the wrong spots.

RE:Swimbaits
I would but I like to lump my orders together for one big one. That way I don't pay shipping or pay very little. Tacklewarehouse and Basstackledepot are usually the sites that carry all of the stuff I like to throw. As far as a store, I haven't found one around my area that even carries anything close to a swimbait that I would consider buying. CK14, where is that 3 Rivers and how much did the swimbait cost? Also, does that store carry other swimbaits?

right now they have castaics, and nothing else that peeked my interest. they do have small basstrix minnows, but they are mainly used for dropshot.
www.3riversmarine.com is just east of kirkland, near costco. other than that, its probably best you order online.
one question to ya, have you ever had a bass totally unleash fury on your drag? if so how big was it. thanks
