Freeze your bASS tournament

Post by smalljaws » Tue Feb 08, 2011 11:58 am

I wanted to let you all know we are holding the 5th annual Freeze your bASS tournament on Sammamish on 2/19/2011. Go to Evergreenbassclub.com for entry and rules.
The lake is off limits starting Saturday morning 2/12/2011 so if you want to prefish it has to be done by Friday 2/11/2011. We hope to see you all out there again.

I've had a look at the rules and there is no mention of banning the use of natural bait or dragging (trolling). Would this be the pacific northwest bass fisherman's equivalent of golf winter rules?

I'm looking for a back seat for this one. Any boaters out there need a partner?

I can assure you that live bait in a bass tourney is a no go period ! Now as for dragging , trolling ,scrolling , downrigging , scrubbing the bottom , one cast per hour , well that would be great question for the tourney director ! It would suck to catch the biggest fish of the day only to get A DQ #-o

Llive bait is illeagle in this state no matter what your fishing for, we will go over the rules at drivers meeting. With that said it's an honor system and no matter how many times it's brought up dragging, strolling is left to each persons interpretation and is virtually impossible to control. My view on it is if your drifting with wind or current and holding the rod it's fishing, if your setting the rod in a holder and using a trolling motor its questionable.
