Discuss/rate/comment: Local Resorts, Campgrounds, Resturants...for Anglers.

Post by bad esox » Thu May 03, 2007 10:40 pm

Hey Guys,

Thanks for this web-site it really a great resource for all of us "Anglers" out here. Something that may be helpful to many of us who travel around the State to fish may be a forum to discuss/rate/comment: Local Resorts, Campgrounds, Restaurants...Which ones are the best value?...
It would be nice to be able to go to an area with your family, and/or friends and/or pets, and have an idea of what to expect when you get there.
A forum like this may also be helpful for the local businesses in letting them know what Anglers would prefer in return for their hard earned $$$. It's just "food for thought" to make each angling experience a little bit better. Cost$$$, comfort, noise etc...these will all become important factors for people traveling, especially, as we watch the cost of gas going up and up and up...well you get the idea. THX...

I agree too. Good idea. I'm always looking for good mom and pop restaurants in the small towns around where I fish.

well, Aaron and I are always looking for sponsors to help us out. I just don't want to give free expossure to businesses when we do have resorts and others that pay the freight. Not fair to them. I think it would be OK to help each other out say if you were going to a spot, to use this forum to ask other anglers about places to stay at.

Thanks Mike,

I understand your situation about sponsorship. Now that you have this page it may be a good way for many of the local businesses that are interested in the "Angling" arena to "hook-up" with you guys. Advertising is good for their business and yours. I believe your Market will only continue to grow as this page gains more exposure. In the "Fish Eat Fish" world of business only the strong survive. "Word of mouth" usually takes care of the rest. You guys are providing a great service for us Anglers and for that I say thanks. Good fishing!

For sure one thing that really helps us is anglers telling resorts and businesses about WashingtonLakes.com. I know of a couple resorts we have picked up as sponsors because of this.
