I was in the market for what I considered a quality spinning reel (something with at least 5 bearings and well made)that I could pick up with out breaking the bank. I was looking for $50 or less and I asked for input here and looked at reels at all the sporting-goods stores in my area, as well as on Ebay. I found a reel on Ebay the looked OK. It was a new reconditioned 8 bearing Quantum Arroy AR30. I don't like to buy anything I have not tried out first, so I went down the the Sportsmans warehouse here to check it out. I looked at that same reel on the shelf and I was impressed with how it felt. The reel is very smooth and tight, it has a great anti-rev, a 5.2 gear ratio, and a nice drag system. It does not have any cool features like quick release spools, quick fire bails, or rear drag, but it is a very nice reel for the price. A spin of the handle will turn the reel over 14 times before it stops, that means the bail would go around 72.8 times with just one spin, now that's smooth ! ! ! The price is the best part, although they say these are reconditioned they look new to me, you just don't get any paperwork or a box with it. I bought 1 for $12.88 and even with the shipping it was only 17 bucks and change. The seller Sportsmans Factory Outlet ( moboy9234 ) I got it from seams to have a ton of these, I think they must have bought out a water damaged shipment or something. I was very pleased with this first reel so much, I got 2 more. I got the same reel in a combo pack with a 6' 6" MH graphite rod, and I got 2 of the combo's for $34 plus 8 bucks shipping. I just got my combos in the mail and I'm very pleased for the price, The rods not great but not bad either. It has 5 nice guides and the tip for 6, windings are OK. My only complaint is no eye on it to hold the hook, but this is still a great deal !!!!!!!!!!! Here is some of the current deals he has on them .

People probably dont need to worry about this seller. The complaints are from international buyers. SFO doesnt ship internationally. His feed back is still 99.5% I know I wouldnt worry about them and I would buy from them if they had something I wanted. Ive been buying on ebay since 2003 I know you want to buy from reliable sellers. This person doesnt appear to get over on people.
