I made it out today for a couple of hours. It was medium, wasn't slow, wasn't hot. I'll be out again sooner rather than later. Send me a PM

I think fortson is gonna be off the HOOK! :-$ :-$ :-$ reiter is gonna be dead and fishless, every body should go to fortson! I don't know why anybody would wanna be at the sky at all :^o :^o :^o
I guess Ill hit up reiter then I dont really like to catch fish anyways. :-"

I was driving on river road and they was netting the heck outta that river. I seen 12 boats and several 200-300 gallon totes. And the fish was just being tossed around. They put a killing on this river today.
There are no steelhead in what used to be the greatest steelhead run in the sound. A 'chemical spill' killed them all off... right.....

How many days a week are they netting now?

Maybe I'll see you up there then Nate I will be going early sat morning. Honestly still trying to decide though, highway side, hatchery side of reiter or fortson. I didnt even get a chance to go up there last year before they shut it down. No matter though I expect to see some good reports this weekend.

I dunno either, it can get to be a zoo at both places. I know reiter way better, I know that the fish are coming in steady, but a chance at fortson sounds great too, I was disappointed when they closed it. I may just go to both places, my wife works all weekend which leaves me awake with nothing to do at 4:30 in the AM, after I drop her off. I have better luck on the hatchery side drifting, in high water like this bobber fishing becomes quite tedious at Reiter. Less snags with that current too.

Best bet in my opinion is going to be to get out and do some hiking. Get away from the crowds. Just as good of fishing with more peace. Trust me there will be fish spread everywhere in the system, not just the meat holes. Good luck with wherever you guys decide to go. I for one will be floating on Sunday with my brother. Dreamin of chrome.[-o<

That sounds like a lot of fun. I dunno where those places are but getting chrome is always a lot more fun when you work for it.

This is just incredibly sad. Maybe they should close down the Puget Sound Rivers running Steelies just so that maybe, just maybe my 3 year old son might have a future fishing these rivers. Only problem though is who's gonna manage them? I vote for Pooh.
