I'm always up for checking out new lakes, unfortunately, I have some time constraints tomorrow so I need to keep it closer to home.

Let's try and hook up another time in South King. My office is in Kent, so maybe after work sometime.

If anyone could provide good directions to Beaver Lake, I would sure appreciate it. Every time I used to go out to that lake I would get lost. #-o I liked that lake though, I remember nice numbers of 12 inch largies, one trip all of them were coughing up craws. :-$

You missed a good day on Beaver, caught a 4-5 #er on a tiger striped CRANK BAIT....gotta love 'em. I also caught a 1/2 #er on that same lure a few minutes before. Nobody told that little guy he was little, he hit that sucker like a 10 lb. fish. I'm going to post pictures of both of 'em tomorrow. Hopefully Target can turn my cardboard disposable camera into a CD. The little fella was only a little bigger than the lure.

I was about a 1/2 hour away from getting skunked so I thought I'd have some fun with the crank baits and it paid off big time.

Hope to see you all out there next time.

Directions:
I-90 East
Exit Front Street (Issaquah) Turn left (under the freeway)
Turn Right at the 76 station (Issaquah-Fall City Road)
Go up the hill and through 3 lights
Turn Left at Beaver Lake Road (at the bottom of a small hill, comes up on you fast)
At crosswalk blinking lights, turn Right (Eeat Beaver Lake Road)
Go about a 1/2 mile and turn Left on East Beaver Lake Road (road changes names or something)
The boat launch is about 400 ft. on the left (through the marked gate)

Confussed yet? Good luck.

Way to go on your fish! I was thinking about being at Beaver this morn when I got off work at 6:30am man I wanted to go! Those directions are pretty good BTW. I have my map highlighted in red so it is always easy to find. It can be a bit complicated.

Never had any good luck at Beaver. Biggest fish might have ran 1.5 lbs for me or anyone I know. I've seen em bigger, but I've been there many times and often on perfect days or perfect times of the year when the fishing SHOULD be good, only to have a day of fishing yield 3 or 4 dink bass....

Can you use gas engines on Beaver? I used to go there 10-12 years ago and do not remember. Last time i tried to go there i got lost. All the houses over the past 10-12 years really hid that lake from me

Not a problem T Dot. Will do next time i am going out in that area.

Anyone who frequents there, can you tell me if the launch there is big enough to get an 18 ft bass boat in without to much trouble? I could just use my trolling motor

pine lake:
im not sure if things have changed, but there was a sign stating no trailers. never really read into the rules, so im not sure if that applys to parking or the lake. though that area of pine is tough, its shallow for about 20 feet.

beaver lake:
you shouldnt have a problem launch @ beaver.

if i had the choice, my choice would be to fish pine.

:king:

im sure you know why though

Here's the scoop (in my opinion)

Pine Lake = No trailers allowed, only "car-toppers" (i.e. canoes, kayaks, small WC)
Pine Lake = Trout (maybe a bass or 2 on the north side...deep)

Beaver Lake = Good boat launch for small trailered boats and car-toppers
Beaver Lake = Bass, Trout, crappie, sunfish, etc. (hit the edge of the lilly pads on the south end for bass)

Remember...."a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work" with that said, you'll enjoy yourself whichever one you choose....have fun.

I went there with my bass tracker and I barely got it launched and landed. I don't think an 18 ft fiberglass boat would work unless the lake gets more water.

Thanks Kzoo. I'll just had to revert back to ol faithful. The 9ft Livingston and my extra trolling motor.

Besides, on lakes that say "no gas motors" your not even allowed to have a gas motor strapped on your boat. Beaver lake would be tough to launch and navigate in anything bigger then 12-14 feet in my opinion. Great lake for small trailered or cartopper boats like Livingstons...

Pine's rules are still the same. Car toppers only. I think the big issue was the guys launching 20ft Inboard/Outboards and going innertubing and the fact that the parking lot would be overrun with boat trailers attached to big rigs.
