McIntosh lately(Thurston)

Post by kevinb » Thu Oct 14, 2010 3:11 pm

Has anyone been down to Lake McIntosh in recent days or weeks?/or familiar with it this time of year?

I'm planning on taking my son and I down tomorrow afternoon/evening for a little bass fishing before

the lake closes for the season. I'm curious to know if the weeds are still thick. My last trip down here was in the summer and I was always having to pull weeds off the prop of the trolling motor.

Any info helps.
We fished it most of the day on Friday. Weeds were ok but a few heavy pockets but no issues, the major problem
was heavy winds for the first few hours but they eventually subsided and they look was nice and smooth. Caught a few
bass but no piggies. All in all,a great day on the water and an excellent father/son trip...wish my wife didn't have to work.
Anyhow,I'll submit a report in a bit
