Long Lake had a good turn out. We had 5 boats and 6 anglers show up to battle the wind & the rain. Despite the weather it was a fun time fishing together and meeting new people. Not many fish were caught. I caught 4 rockbass, a handfull of dink largemouth. At the end of the day i did manage to pull in a 1lb 3oz LM. Most everyone else experienced the dinks and of course there were the stories of the ones that got away. We talked a bit about the club goals and general chit chat at the launch lasted about an hour. Just wanted to add my 2 cents here. I went to this club meeting tonight. Met some very nice people. If anyone is lurking out there and wondering about getting into this. I was very impressed by the people and that they had a strong knowledge of rules and and formalities of what are required to be an "Official" club. Not saying that it was too formal, they seemed like good guys. I'm just saying that they seemed very organized and with goals.
I look forward to getting on the water with the group.
I hope that some of you on here who have shown an interest may also move forward and join up.
