Average Green River Water Level At Flaming Geyser?

Post by nickbell » Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:32 pm

I am fly fishing the green river at flaming geyser soon (yes I know I say this alot and never do so, but I am this time). I have never actually been up there, so I have no idea what to expect. How high is the water usually? Can I safely wade through it and fly fish it? Thanks!

I have seen good reports about flaming geyser. Im fly fishing for trout. Do you know of any good parts of the green that can easily be waded through? Closest to tacoma? I dont feel like driving to seattle. Most other parts I have seen are at least 5-6 feet deep.

Oops I didnt read that last bit of your comment. Metzler park? Is there good trout fly fishing there? And how deep is the water? Im looking for some good shallow fly fishing water, nothing very deep.

most of the green above 18 is really shallow. Metzler park is shallow. Before you get there there is a bridge I dont remember what street. But people launch drift boats there. Its really shallow there.
More fish please!
