Log Jam Salmon ala Skokomish.
This is one hell of a spot to fish if you can deal with the combat fishing and the many obstacles the log jam provides. But after many hookups (I honestly lost count), I landed this buck on the log jam via net. 40# Power Pro, half oz canon ball, 30# leder (yes, I wasnt messing around), hot pink corky with a 3/O barbless hook. BTW did you know that you can get a ticket for spotting fish? Yep it happened today.

@Jens get a bigger monitor , yeah i'll fix it.
@Lol Bentrod, and you know being "asian" doesnt help myself or Jens
@Bionic, I have to check into this. But I was told yesterday that a lady was written a $400 ticket for telling people where the fish were. It sounded absurd to me, especially for the fact that I didnt see this in the rules anywhere. So I am asking if anyone knows about this. Because from where I was standing in that hole, I could se all the fish below me, and I was telling everyone where to fish.

Ok, no one once mentioned anything about mosquitos at the Skok . They are absolutely thick and mean. No one in our group had any repellent.
Good runnin into Donman and Reggie saturday . Ran into a few other WA Lakes guys as well as a lurker who came up to me and told me it took him days to realize where the Notellum River is . LOL
Group of 7 of us had a lot of hookups with FISHINROB getting the only fish to shore . Where we fished, if you want any chance at landing a fish in tight quarters and obstacles, I highly recommend going at least 20lb main and 15lb leader. I lost all of my fish. I was using 12/10. I thought I'd be cute and run 10lb fluorcarbon leader .

RE:Here comes salmon season...
It's funny, for such a short river, there is a LOT of diversity. Big snaggy hole with skeeters, nice deep drift holes, long shallow sections with no main channel. I'm glad that my skunked, net filled, retard laden, trash gathering trip, was at least skeeter free.
Oh I never mentioned, when I went to the skok, I left with a FULL 13 gallon bag of garbage, and I didn't produce any garbage when I was on the river, so that was ALL other people's crap. It's by far the trashiest river I've ever seen.
