visiting end of Sept 2 weeks -looking to fish

Post by rancocasrich » Tue Jul 27, 2010 5:11 am

My wife and I are visiting our daughter the last week of September and first week of October. She lives near Hoquiem in western WA. I am retired, non-smoker, lite drinker and a fisherman. I would love to go out on fresh or salt. I can drive to Seattle area if necessary but prefer no further than Olympia or Tacoma. I am willing to help out and pay expenses. Thanks.

You can go salmon fishing on the rivers that aren't too far form Hoquiem. The Humptulips and Wynoochie. I say that because those are 2 rivers I would like to try this year because I live further north.

The hump will be putting out nicely then. Not a ton of bank access and you can see waht combat fishing is all about.

I am definitely interested in giving it a try. Toni, do you need company on a fishing jaunt?

Welcome back to the NW Rancocasrich, If you remember, it seems like we had emails each summer over the past couple years. (Surf Perch fishing, etc.) sorry that I am in Seattle, otherwise it would be great to hook up with you.

Hey quad, yes, I do remember and just recently saw one of your replies to me. If I think Seattle may be a possibility, I'll let you know. I do want to fish so I may have to go where the opportunities are!

Or head up to Sekiu for last week of Sept. That'll be silver time up there. You should at least be able to get into one if not many fish if you get out there.
