I am so ready for it already
RE:Here comes salmon season...
I am ready to catch salmon, wherever they are. Looks like there are a lot of Kings in the sound.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I have never fished for Salmon in the rivers here in my home state. Last month a friend and I were in Anchorage and tried Ship Creek. Didn't catch anything but caught the bug. Problem is I have no idea where to begin or how to fish them.

Honestly, for newbies, it's the easiest fishing I've ever encountered. The state website has a page dedicated on telling you how to catch them.reigndawgs wrote:I have never fished for Salmon in the rivers here in my home state. You need a swivel, lead wire, hook, corkie, yarn. You can google Corky and yarn setup or drift fishing and find plenty of ways to do it.

nickbell,
the best thing you can do is get out and try it. ask people questions that are fishing by you. see how they are tieing up there gear.
The most important thing though .....is to have fun.
