RE:Open Seat

Post by momtobobby » Sun Jun 27, 2010 9:50 pm

Hello. I am in need of advice on how to catch a fish in Beaver or Pine lake. My special needs son needs to catch and release one fish (any type other than a rainbow trout) to earn a Boy Scout badge. We have spent hours at each lake with not even a bite. Who would imagine it is so hard to catch one simple fish! Obviously I have no idea what I am doing. Can you give me some instruction on how to catch a fish from the shore/dock at either lake? He has been using 2 green power bait eggs on a size 10 hook with a slip sinker. Any help would be very appreciated.

If you really don't mind, it would be a fantastic treat for my son to get to do some real fishing.
Bobby is 12 years old and has multiple medical and developmental issues, but he is a really nice kid and is well behaved.
Please let me know if there is a day/time that would work well for you.
thanks!
Kellie

Momtobobby, If FM isn't available, I'd be happy to take you and your son out to Lake Washington or Sammamish.

Wow! We had an amazing time with Kzoo out on Lake Wa. Bobby caught a fish and now has earned his first Boy Scout merit badge. Thanks Kzoo, you are fantastic!

Kzoo - you bring honor to the brotherhood of fisherman.

Bobby - you deserve that badge.

Mom - as a father of a child with some emotional disturbance issues, you are an inspiration.
