WCCT Closing Up Shop

Post by WCCT » Tue Jun 22, 2010 6:34 am

After a long, tough process, I have decided to close up shop. This is one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make. I have 3 kids, and have decided my time is better devoted to them. I will continue to make most baits until the end of summer, and then close down for good. Money was never a factor in my decision to go into the tackle business, but with taxes, and general expenses going up, it just doesn't make financial sense for me to keep going. There is not a lot of profit in this business as it is, so the more family time it continues to take up, the easier the decision became. I would like to thank Mike Carey for supporting my business for the last several years. He is someone I consider a good friend, and will continue to be in the future. This site has been amazing for me, and has produced a lot of customers and fishing friends. I would also like to thank Big Bass Dez for his support. His drive to push my products is amazing and is what any business owner would die to have as far as a pro staffer goes. I will continue to check this site and post when I can, because this site is a very special part of the fishing community here in the north west. Again, I would like to thank everyone on here for your support over the years, and I hope at one time or another, my baits caught you some nice fish.

That's a shame, but family comes first. I'd figured some day I might be able to get some of your stuff.

Ever since iv known about this i was sadden , However DJ made the right choice for the right reason period and i completly understand his thoughts on the matter .. DJ is someone i consider a good friend of mines and business would not conflict with that for years too come . I wish you the very best of luck as always and im proud to say that i rep one of the best local bass tackle companies here in the state of washinton :salut: .

From what i understand DJ will be still filling orders so i would suggest you guyz stock up on some the hottest baits around before it so late , Im still current working on few big orders myself , Goodluck DJ and thanks for all you have done for us wacky Bass anglers for years man =d> =d> =d> !!!

WCCT, you don't live all that far away. I'm retired so have plenty of time during most days to help you if you want. I usually only go fishing mornings and evenings. Maybe we can talk. Maybe bring some molds or whatever over here and I can learn how to make stuff to help you out. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but I am either going to sell outright, or just sell off my inventory. This decision will allow me more time with my family and more time devoted to tournament fishing. I can't remember the last time I have got to put in some quality pre fish time for a tournament, and when fishing NW Bass, you need all the time on water you can get because those guys are good!

Very sad to hear the news. You have been a staple around here and the fishing community. Best of luck to you and I know your family appreciates your decision. Nothing can replace quality time with your kids. I completely understand your mindset. Hope to see ya around the water.
