Chapter 57's June 12th Pend Oreille River Members Only Pike Tournament
Well all I finally was able to sit down and put the rules together. I had to make a few tweaks this year from last since we have changed the make up of the points system considering the recent study performed by the Kalispel & WDFW biologists. Attached are the rules...or you can visit our website at www.nwtigermuskies.com and look at them there. I heard there is a quite the bit of interest building for this tournament, which caught us by surprise, so if it comes down to it the tournament will be limited to the first 19 boats (sorry permit limitations). The tournament will be a full 12 hours from 6am to 6pm. We will be launching from Cusick. Mandatory boaters meeting will be at 5:45am sharp. If you are signing up for Muskies, Inc the day of the event, please be at the Cusick boat launch no later than 5:15am as there is some paperwork to fill out. If you are already a member, please be at the launch no later than 5:30am to fill out some paperwork and get boats in the water. Check in will be at Cusick and depending on the amount of boats, weigh-in will either be at Cusick or Blueslide Resort.
After the tournament we will have a fish fry and awards ceremony at Blueslide Resort.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
See you on the water!!

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:
Let them do their job: Eating N.P.Minnows

What we are eating: POTLUCK!
(Well I have to bring chicken because I won't be able to contribute to the fish fry because MY pike will all be TOO BIG to keep. )

heh heh heh.... I'm not takin that bet, Lucius, because a fry cook I am not. Hey, lets get Miles!!
BTW, most people may already know this, but "Members Only Tournament" means Muskies, Inc. members; from ANY Chapter. So the new #60 guys can join us as well as anyone visiting from across the country.
Plus, CH#57 members are invited to Chapter #60's tourneys, etc.
Pretty fun when you think about it. Kenster fished in a Chapter #29 (Iowa) tournament one year and caught a 48? incher. Then his Iowa host, Tracy Crail came out here and Kenster put him on a 37 Lake Tapps Tiger in one day. That's what you call "across America camaraderie".

The boundaries will be from dam to dam (51 miles of river/lake I think). Also don't forget about the tribal waters across the way from Cusick. You can not fish in the sloughs 8 miles up and 8 miles down across the river from Cusick but you can fish the main river edges and openings of the sloughs. Also if you want to fish Cusick slough (Slough just North of the Cusick boat ramp), make sure you have your tribal license. $10 as the local gas station. Good luck and we will see you on the water!!:bounce:
