Way to go Dez, looks like the fishing was tough, and you were able to consistently weigh in a solid limit, which is what it's all about! You came out ahead of some real quality sticks! Great job and good luck at Nationals!
Best!

RE:Congrats to "Big Bass Dez"
Hey Thanks so much guys !!! I really needed all your support going into the 3day because i was really tired and down to 2 spots left to fish , i new that i had a shot if i could put together a bag over 7lbs ..
That final day the boater i drew said that he didnt have anything working and was open to fish wherever i wanted . My first cast of the day i landed a 2lber , by 8:45am i had my limit and started culling my fish through out the rest of the day.
The crazy part about the last day is that my boater didnt even burn one gallon of gas that day..lol I found some good fish not far from the host marina and also on the dam wall across from the launch .
Had someone told me that i would be sitting in 100+ft of water and casting at a bluff wall with my dropshot only allowing about 10-15ft of line out to catch a smallie i proberly would have shook my head in disbelief . Well as it turned out , that was the winning pattern for the event .
I ended up in 5th place overall after day 3 and i managed to backseat all 3 of my boaters each day . The size of those fish was something that we all had to just get over after a few days of practice showed us lol.
Mark and i covered lots of water during practice and mark had a really had a good pattern down after our official practice days were done . What really hurt him and most anglers was spending too much time on bedding fish , See the problem with the bedding fish was that once an angler came across one it could be a 12" fish for 1 lb or it could be a 2+lb fish and that required lots of time and effort .
Mark is a great bass angler and cool travel partner i was really bless to spend the week with him , Our entire washington team displayed soo much support during the whole week there and that made a world of difference ..
On the final day one of my team member walks in my room that morning and handed me 3 of the baits that i was catching all my fish on and said "get it done dez" i couldnt ask for more support ...
Thanks for the support guys and i looking forward to carring the torch to what ever lake i have to fish later this year !!:)

Nik , I got my fingers cross that we go to a awsome LMB fishery in the south somewhere , keep in mind i lived in nashville, TN for 5 years and started tourney fishing down there so i have fish many of the lakes in south already and it would be a blast to re visit a body of water that i has already fished in tyhe past ...
I made the state team for TN in 2002 through the qualifiers and fished there divionals in KY , trust me when i say there will be some "big sticks" awaiting for us in the south everyone and there great grandma knows how to catch a LMB ..LOL
