Greetings !

Post by Wal Russ » Wed May 26, 2010 11:21 am

Greetings All

This is a great site.

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Wallace aka WAL. I am heavily into bass fishing and watch BASS / FLW religously. I grew up in TN, so all my experience is from the south. Anyone else from TN here?

I caught a 7lber and a 5lber just last weekend, but my camera died on me. I clearly saw another fish that was much bigger, but have yet to get them to bite. Any suggestions?

Wal

worms jigged so the hook is inside it with no weight bring it acros the top above the fish make sure the hook can come out of the worm though if the fish bites it.

Welcome to the site, Wal. You have certainly come to the right place. There are a lot of "bass guys" on the site that know a great deal about fishing for bass in the NW. You guys can swap secrets. [thumbup]

Wal, Welcome to the site!

The big largies can be hard to get them to bite. It's all about timing with those things, you need right conditions. If they are bedding, eventually they'll bite; otherwise, try fishing the overcast weather or early mornings/late evenings. Larger baits for the larger fish, 10 inch worms, large brush hogs or jigs. If there's trout stocked in the lake, you can try using trout pattern swim baits.

Good Luck.

Welcome aboard Wal. I have been to Tennessee once to take some dump trucks back to Pensacola. Saw many Lks up there I'd love to fish in. Yea the pigs are hard to get without a cast net! Try the jig or 12in culprits.

I'm not from Tennessee but I spent about a year down there as a guest of the United States Navy. Met a little blond that could really sing Hank Williams songs. Hank was a big star back then in 1950.
