Have you had this happen?

Post by fishaholictaz » Sun May 09, 2010 7:08 am

Saw this on another forum thought it was cool. Had to see if any one else has had this happen? If you look close the hook did not penetrate the mouth just got wedged in there:-"

Iv never seen that, but it reminds me of this story i heard one time where a man caught a bass and it wasnt even hooked, it just chewed on his bait the whole way up. It may not be true, but it sounds cool.

Yeah they'll do that every once in a while. My buddies son was bluegill fishing, caught a bluegill, then a 4lber ate the bluegill. He pulled the bass in the boat with the bluegill still in it's mouth; it just didn't want to let go.

i once caught a silver that was just wrapped up in my line, it was wrapped like 5 times by the leader and then the hook was on the main line.

Sometimes when fish get wrapped up in the line, they actually are hooked in the mouth @ first but after getting wrapped up they spit out the hook and they stay snarled up in your line...

That's pretty sweet! Craziest thing I had happen was king fishing in a river I hooked a snap swivel through the loop connected to a flasher and hootchie connected to a 15 lb jack. Landed the fish and bonked it to boot

Hopefully that person just cut the hook in half. Already looks like its jaw got broke.

Almost seems impossible to fight the fish with the hook placed like that. Also looks like a BIG hook.

That fish looks small if you think about a 4 in worm a #2 hook would look big. I bet the fish didn't make 1 1/2 pounds. It's cool though.

I've had fish on a Texas rig hula grub suck on it all the way to the boat. The small ones you can lift up with them still attached to the tails (sometimes).
