Kup,

Sounds great!!!! I'll be there. Maybe I'll even get there early to do some shopping at Sportsman's Warehouse also!!
What is Don's favorite lure? The world is waiting!!!! Everyone remember the I-5 project begins tonight (FRI.) at 10:00 p.m. so traffic may be more messed-up than "normal" for the next three weeks!!!! ouch!!!!!
>----):< A good gamefish is too valuable, to be caught only once.

Yeah, after the meeting I hope to make it home to Shoreline by the end of the month. Maybe I should leave my license number with someone in case they find a skeleton sitting in a green pickup truck on I-5.

Don, If you die in your truch, shut it off. I'll take the truck but I want enough gas to get home. It's the least I could do for ya.

I think I'll be there, I'm bringing the Frabill and St Croix Rep with me.

Federal Way Sportsmans warehouse right?

One of my long time fishin' partners manages the fishing dept, so it will be a good opportunity to shoplift while he's not looking.

The meetin' is at the Fedaral Way store. It was a good meeting last time. Keith gave out some nice $10 Gift Certificates, too. Hope to see more of 'em.

It sure was great to visit with so many interesting Tiger Muskie fishermen and women at the August meeting tonight. We had two very informative speakers. Thank you Jack for telling us about the initial stocking of TM's in this state and the addition information about them. Thank you Don for the show and tell about bucktail lures. You've peaked my interest about them enough that I just might try one now.

Wasn't that a kick-in-the-pants meeting? Had a really good time.
Can't imagine the stress Jack had to go thru to get the muskellunge introduced.. but we are in his debt. What a history... and what a legacy for him, to see the 1st Muskies Inc. Chapter, now in Washington, because of his and other's efforts. Looking forward to fishing with him at the Mayfield Tourney.

Don's presentation was meticulous and we all learned a trick or two about bucktails. The "Professor" has a dry sense of humor; loved the bandaids. And isn't it informative to see how other angler's cast? Single handed, two handed, and various techniques?

"Why do you stop the lure in mid-flight?"
"Why do you keep the slack out of the line as you cast out?"
"At what point should you release? In an arc...or straight out? Why?
What DO you do if you get one on in the figure 8 and you have 18 inches of line to play?"

and secret lures? I 'm not sayin' a word about purple Inhalers or black & red Musky Busters....

Gonna try a few of those out.. away from the TREES. argh..
Course, then muskyhunter could help out with that NICE $$ lure retriever he won in the raffle. WTG, MH.
Nice to meet all the new folks, too: NINE newcomers curious about ol' Mr. Muskie; Welcome to all!
Remember, you don't have to be a member to come to the meetings. And they are free! If you want, you can just get signed up on the mailing list, so you can be sent info on upcoming events, but even that is optional.

Course, if you DO apply for Membership, you can then fish in the upcoming Lake Tapps Members Only Tournament on Aug. 25th... :colors:

We are growing by leaps and bounds and it was a lot more comfortable in that NEW room last night... Sportsman's Warehouse is a GREAT sponsor, please support them: SHOP THERE!

Last Note: I don't know about the rest of you, but I LOVED seeing the looks on those 5 very YOUNG anglers faces when they were presented with free TIGER PAC T-shirts... they each had been saving their pennies to buy one.
"Take Me Fishing" indeed... it's a gift to them and to the future, to teach responsible angling of ANY species.

I have a written summary of my presentation about bucktails. I think I'll post it on a new thread so those who didn't attend the meeting can see it.

Sorry we missed the meeting, the rep that was going to come with me got sick, so we're hoping to make the next meeting.

I don't think it would be a good idea to show up by myself for fear of being lynched. LOL :-"
