Post by KUP » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:54 am

Bill Green, Rosann Green, Brett Olson, Jack Tipping, Buddy Hartman, Ed Christiansen, Miles McDonald, Mike Fuller, Tammy Baldwin, Russ Baldwin, Garvin March, Mike Haw, Dan Fuller, Bob Meier, Chuck Gades, Jani K. Perry Peterson.
Special Merit Awards: our big 15 oz. mug with Chapter logo: http://www.cafepress.com/nwtigermuskies.288186313 were awarded to:
Tom Schafenacker, for Chairing the big 3 Rivers Seminar
Miles Mc Donald for his professional job as Chef at the Chapter Picnic
Brett Olson for doing multiple Tiger Seminars at the Puyallup Show
Mike Floyd for doing multiple Tiger Seminars at the Puyallup Show

Russ & Tammy Baldwin: Muskie School
Perry Peterson, Lake Tapps Open
Lee Burns, New Sponsors
Don Wittenberger, Political Advisor and his determination to get the Free Military License Program accepted.

A Big Thank You to all who volunteer so readily and there are more than just those listed above - a Chapter is as strong as its volunteers and you guys are amazing!

Muskies, Inc. National Plaque for Biggest Tiger of the Year: NORM DILLON
This one is quite an honor. For the very first time in Muskies, Inc. history, a National Award has been given for the biggest Tiger Muskie (hybrid) in the United States, from a M.I. Member.
(Norm is still serving in Iraq, he will pick up his Plaque later this summer)

Sportsman of the Year: MR. BILL GREEN 1st Chairman of the Tiger Muskie School and dedicated Chapter supporter: Personalized Photo Plaque This Award is given to the person who has shown leadership and who embraces the ideals of the Chapter. Bill and his wife Rosann have recently moved to the Eastside and could not be present, but now we have an excuse to go visit them and fish, too!

Tournament Champion of the Year 2009: MIKE FLOYD – Annual Trophy
Mike won the most Tournaments of any member last year!

Angler of the Year 2009: MIKE FLOYD – Annual Trophy
With his 31 muskies caught and released last year, Mike takes home the big heavy trophy for the year!

Please join me in Congratulating all the anglers above!!

(Photos below:
1. Chapter Mugs (and little mascot)
2. Chapter President Buddy Hartman with the National Plaque Award for biggest Tiger to: Norm Dillon
3. Norm's Plaque and the winning Tiger (Merwin)
4. Buddy with Bill Greens Plaque for Sportsman of the Year. (Note:This is the only photo of Bills's biggest fish, 48 inches, taken long before the Chapter was started, in 2005. We all used to hold our fish like that, but through the education process in the Chapter, we learned that horizontal hold are much better. Terrific fish, terrific photo, fish was released.)
5. Chapter President Buddy awarding the two monster Trophies to Mike Floyd, Angler of the Year AND Tournament Champion of the Year!
6. Mike and his two BIG trophies. (Need re-bar under that mantel, now)
7. Brett Olson, Vice President, with newly appointed Inland Program Supervisor, JIM UEHARA, and New Statewide Warmwater Coordinator: BRUCE BOLDING. Jim gave a report on the Warmwater Program at the Meeting. They are both holding Cudaman Lures- custom made by Brett.
8. The "Meeting after the Meeting":Jim, Bruce, Don; Political Advisor, Brett; Chapter Vice President, Buddy; Chapter President, Mike; Muskie Log Chairman, Perry; Merchandise/Sponsor Chairman and International V.P.

The special edition Brett Olson Lures are cool.

Im starting to get the idea, Musky fishing is Mike's full time job... Might have to help Mike build a new wall to put his accomplishments on. I bet it over a thousand inches total.

Great job you guys.

Thanks Jani for getting those pictures posted, we've been waiting impatiently to see all those smiling faces. Those are sure big trophies that Mike got. Thanks for fixing such a nice plaque for Bill, the Fed Ex guy delivered it today. He is hanging it on the wall in his fishing room. He was very surprised to learn that the club had given him the Sportsman of the Year award as he thinks there are many in the club that deserved it.

Glad you liked them, Rosann and Congrats to Bill!
Yes, the trophies are fantastic and what every esox angler deserves after putting in the hours needed to be good at the sport, eh? They were used for the PMTT, too!

Hi AMX:
I picked up that little guy in a Christmas Shop in New Ulm, Minnesotah.
But if you don't want to travel that far, try this:

Congrats to everyone, one heck of a crew we have. Sure looking forward to getting back with you guys.

Rumor has it that Su and the boys may attend the April meeting for the big raffle. I figure that way I'll get her to buy some more tickets and I'll just take her winnings when I get home. I'll keep you posted.

Nice to see bruce again too,

Thanks.

That would be nice, but after being gone for a year I'm not sure how much time that wife and boys are going to allow...LOL

No problem, Norm. I plan on teaching Su how to fish AND run your boat so we are going to stealing it out from under you all the time.:-"

I don't know Norm, from my experience once you teach your significant other how to fish, they will catch more and bigger fish than you every time!! She still brags about it!!:-" ](*,)
