Silver Lake

Hey guys, taking a vacation and am headed to Silver Lake (Cowlitz County) next week.
I have fished there numerous times, all times of the year w/ only having caught 4 fish total.
All of which have came off of jigs.
I concentrate on the docks and stumps but haven't hooked one unless its been near wood of some sort.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for techniques that work for you guys there.

What Tom said, but I was told also by a very reliable source...look for rocks. Don't overlook a spinnerbait or small shallow diving crankbaits as well.

Oh ya, DUH!! Rocks, Rocks, and MORE ROCKS. Ya the lily pads work too. Kinda early but there can be bass in lily pads soon.

I didn't really think much about rocks until last weekend with Tom, but most of my best bass caught in eastern washington were in the rockiest areas of the lakes.

Silver Lake this time of year is a great place to fish. It can be a real grind, but the rewards can be great.

Silver Lake in April will be a big push for fish up shallow. The bushes that surround the lake will be flush with Largemouth. Don't be afraid to do some combat fishing deep in the bushes. Those fish will be so shallow, you'll be surprised. Weightless plastics are a good bet this time of year, such as a Senko or Ika. Also, if you see some real green healthy pad growth, try putting a jig right in the middle of the pads. Those fish will sit right on the hard spot of those pads. Crankbaits around the rocky areas can be productive too.

Ah Silver has been tough. The changing weather has effected the fishing alot hot cold hot cold the fish are prob so confused they are cross eyed. Ah there was a tourney 2 weeks ago the winner had 4 POUNDS! Only 3 boats caught fish!... I was out sat on the hot day and I ended up with one midget bass. But they are right even tho they covered all the lakes features lol. I will be out there this weekend like every weekend. Look for a silver and black Skeeter that will be me!

pretty much the whole southern shoreline is good for flipping just about all times of year, at least thats where i've caught alot of my fish out of there.

I have heard good things about bushes and rocks but havent been able to locate rocks except along the highway
Is those the only rocks, if not where would more be located?
And Nick said "Ika", what exactly does that mean?

FYI I have caught a few nice fish along the highway. Nick is referring to the Gary Yamamoto bait, Its called an Ika. If rigged backwards the bait will swim away from you which is kinda cool.

My buddy lost one probably around 4 lbs. in those rocks
So, across the highway there is those thick bushes, are those worth the time? i have thrown everything in and near them
and cant get bit.
Ive been told by the locals while at the launch that there are tons of dead spots in the lake as well

Don't over think it. Now all you have to do is get on the lake and gather your own experience's. Silver can be real tough, but this could be the weekend that it all turns around. You'll be using all your skills. What else can you ask for. You'll probably be hittin em in the head but can you catch em? It's one of my favorite lakes

I fell out of the boat and cut my finger open while trying to retrieve a lure last time I was there... now that was an experience!

Now that's about as tough as it gets. Last time I was there I was idling along and went over a stump just after missing a post in the water. Jerked the boat pretty good but missed the prop. Fog was so thick that morning I could barely see.

Yeah that lake can be sketchy like that, speaking of submerged structure,
what is the deepest point you guys have graphed? the deepest my depth finder has shown was 10 ft. give or take a few
